How To Save Money?
I'm a Singaporean, 25/f, working full-time, studying part-time. I need to save money in order to pay my school fees but I'm the spendthrift type especially on food. Can someone give me some tips on how to save money?

- get a bank account as soon as possible and have them cut off ur credit or debit card the moment you run outta money. that should help you with saving money and stuff. other than that just try and budget yourself real good. and fight the urge to spend it.
- Don't spend on unnecessaries. Food should be alright, just remember not to pay your friend's bill. Set a target for savings (probably Sing$ 30/day?)
- i no this may sound stupid but like get a jar and put loose change in it and budget yourself when you get paid work out how much you got then work out how much on food and if your trying to save money buy food that is like the shops own don't buy brands and if you have any money left over put it in the bank so it will get interest
- Put a % of your paycheck in a savings account that you can't get into, like a Christmas account.
- If you can cook, you can save money even though you are working full-time and a student parttime. If you do grocery shopping on Saturday, and chop, prepare, and cook 2 big meals which you can divide into smaller meals during the week, it would curb your spending as well as help you save on buying snack or food during the week. This is what I do for work and I don't buy food during the week unless I run out, thereby sticking to my food budget. At the end of 2 weeks, if you are good, you can treat yourself to one piece of good food that would make you happy.
