Law school overseas?

I am a white collar worker who has been in the same industry for about 12 years. I am 38 years old now and want to seek out my dream which is a law degree. I am intending to go to school full time but I would like to go to law school in Europe. Can anyone tell me is it possible to go to law school in Europe and have it accepted in the US? Can anyone recommend any schools in Europe that would be good for this? Can I use a student loan or Pell Grants to go to law school overseas?

  1. If you do this you are likely going to have to get an LLM (1 year post law school/expensive) in the United States to take a US bar exam. I don't know where you are thinking about practicing - look at the state bar website - ("Admissions Requriements"). Also, I don't know if those schools abroad will prepare you for the bar. Law school is basically a glamorized trade school - so you want to go somewhere they can teach you the American trade.
