I receive community property/military retirement pay from a former spouse do i pay taxes on this money?

2. Was it a QDRO, A qualified domestic relations order? If so, yes and you should recieve a 1099r stating how much is yours. If there wasn't a QDRO, your ex spouse will recieve the 1099r and the IRS tracking would point to him.
