What are some Unique gift ideas for a 6 yr old girl?
This is for my 6 yr old daughter. I have a budgetof $30 (the rest of the $ is being spent on her party). I dont want to get her the typical (doll, playset, or princess thing), she loves that stuff, but has plenty already. I would like something more unique,.........a musical instrument, or art project............... It needs to be something new, I can get in person, ( bday is this thursday, so I dont have time to order anything). And btw the reason I am doing this last minute is b/c I already bought a gift for her, (a cheap digital camera), but it doesnt work, and we have to return it. Thanks everyone in advance

- Hi, Have you thought about getting her a crafty thing. If you can stand the noise and she has a bit of patience (sometimes hard to find in a 6 year old) Rock Tumblers can be a lot of fun. Once the rocks are tumbled they come out really shiny and smooth, and can be made into jewelry, which is relatively easy to put together. They also sell jewelry kits, looms, knitting kits, etc...... If she has any interest in artsy stuff, pastels with good paper are great, although messy, you can blend the colors and make the most beautiful shades. Go to a local craft store and wander the aisles you can definitely find something within your budget. Good Luck and Wish Her a Happy Birthday for me!!
- well, if your girl is a total girly girl here are some ideas- get her a purse with lipglosses in it. i LOVEd stuff like that. a cute purse is on http://www.colacorner.com/cotinpu.html they have a coca-cola purse (1 day shipping) If you want to go with art you can get a hobby lobby or michaels gift card. If you dont want to get a giftcard go to those stores. They have those fuzzy posters that come with markers. You could also get a easel. Then there is chalk, paper, and marker. does she have a build-a-bear. My cousins (just turned 6 & 3) love them. Then you can get her more stuff at holidays and your family can too. If she loves high school musical go to claires. Their stuff is pretty cool (they might have hannah montanna too). Also claires does ear piercing, if you want her to have it if not all ready .(i got my 1st hole at 8 months old and i go to claires to get all my piercings. The disney store has some cute clothes that are like princess, if you want her to have more princess stuff. They also have cute stuffed animals, movies, clothes, and unique gifts. Best of luck!
- visit an art and craft store. You know your daughter best to what she would like. If you return the camera then you should be able to jst swap it and have the new one straight away
- I would get her atleast one doll. I mean, you're her mom and if anyone were to know her best besides herself, it's you. You could get her a whiteboard and whiteboard pens. Trust me, kids try to get their hands on those things when I'm teaching. Not a tiny whiteboard but a medium sized. I actually think it's $40 but it's worth it. Or you could get her paints and an easel
- My daughter is 5 and for Christmas, one present we got her was the Fashion Angels Make-Up Artist Sketchbook. It is a book that has a pad of face pictures and another pad of bodies, and the object is to use the supplied "make-up" on the faces, and colored pencils on the bodies to draw the clothes. The book has pointers and examples to the help the child learn how to correctly draw clothes and apply make-up. I know she's young, but my daughter is really crafty and loves to draw - this has been PERFECT for her. She works on it all the time.
- Your question gave me a really cool idea about what I'm going to do for my little cousin (who is turning six Feb 3 and is a TOTAL girly girl)! Buy a solid colored tank top for her, and a solid shirt or jumper that would fit one of her dolls. Then go to a craft store and buy some cute patches or iron-ons, some sparkly beads or sequins and a needle and thread so she can "design" the shirts herself, and her and one of her dolls can have a matching outfit! My grandma taught me how to sew when I was 5 or 6, and it is a skill I still love to use today. And what little girl wouldn't love to feel like a fashion designer?!?!
