Creative Ideas?!?
My friends mom is almost ready to have her 3rd baby. I would really like to give something creative that the baby would treasure when she/he is older. Thanks!

- My mom knits. She came up with this idea of a memory chest, which is really just a nice chest she buys somewhere to put things like first clothes, first drawing, first sweater... you get the idea. But anyway, with this chest, she would knit something momento-like for the baby in question and package the two as a pair for the mother. None of the kids she's done this for are grown up yet, but you can imagine how cool it would be, when you're 20 or 30 something, to go through that chest for the first time in years.
- I always give a baby blanket with the child's first and middle name and birthdate embroidered on it (the embroidery costs about $10).
