- sell some ranch dressing!
- piggybank
- set aside 15% of every paycheck BEFORE paying ANYTHING else
- get a bank account, if the money isnt sitting in your pocket, you wont spend it.
- Ask people if there's anything you can do for money--chores, painting, whatever.
- hhmm....well, when you get money..SAVE IT! i did, and now i can buy nice clothes that don't bleed, or just tell my mom, "I want this one, it's pretty.." she looks at the price, dies a little and says "OK, no more for a month."
- Try talking to your dad and see if you get allowance from him or maybe sell the stuff you don't really need =/
- create a budget for yourself certain word processing programs should have the tools you need. also delivering papers is always a good first job.
- 1-Dont bring your money with you. 2-Dont go shopping 3-Put in a bank.. Thats what I do :) Shopping once in awhile is okay, but every friday night is a big no no.. And when I do go shopping I give myself a budget.. So I take out that amount out of my bank account.. (Which gives me Cash) and then I have that to spend in one.. When Im out im out..
- get a part-time job mow lawns shovel snow rake leaves sell lemonade here is a website it has all the info it seems like a lot but it isn't : http://www.fool.com/teens/teens02.htm
- Being relatively fresh out of my teens and well into college, I can say that your head is in the right place when it comes to money. One thing I did while working to save money was when every paycheck I received was cashed, I put half of it into a chequing account and the other half into a savings account which couldn't be touched. This however, requires a job. When I was 14 I made money by cutting peoples lawns and raking leaves, shoveling snow, etc. If you live near any agricultural area there are usually tons of summer jobs that open up for hired help - you just have to look for it. It also helps if you have older friends/siblings etc. that may be able to 'hook you up' with a real job by putting in a good word for you. If you're looking to save whatever money you have now without spending it, consider putting it into a savings account at a bank. It'll gain interest with time (That's money the bank pays you for letting them hold on to your money) and you wont be able to spend it on "cheap, crappy clothes".
- If you have a cell phone stop using it, unless it's for an emergency. Eat your main meals at home. Don't go around buying snacks and stuff. Don't give or lend money out. When you get the urge to spend it. Just think to yourself the reasons you are saving it.
- well for jobs, you could babysit [like you've already tried], you could shovel snow for people in the winter, or mow lawns in the summer, things like that since you aren't old enough for a real job. to save your money, maybe ask your parents to set you up your own bank account! that always helps! i have one and i hardly ever get money out of it!.... Good luck & i hope that i helped you!!!!
