- First try to earn and then you can think of saving
- Leon, I'm thrilled that at 12 years old you want to start saving and thinking about your future. No matter how you work to get your money, always save atleast 10% of it (if not 20%). Babysitting, mowing yards, doing extra chores. Honestly, volunteer somewhere. It doesn't pay now but in the future it will. It's called networking. Getting out and meeting people, maybe you'll hear about on older couple that can't get out and do yard work.... and then you offer to do their yard work for a nominal fee. My mom was in banking for over 30 years and always said "pay yourself before you pay anyone else." Meaning, always save money and put it in the bank, don't blow it on anything little thing you see... if you want the "big toys" save the money or you will never get them. Hope it helps.
- give up most of your spending interests , keep in yr mind the ONE thing u wanna get by saving and giving up all other stuff , it is hard , but the result is guranteed
- open up a savings account at a bank, decide how much you want to put your savings and then take out that much out of each check
- if u really want to buy smth. n' it is reallyyyyyy worth the effort then u can!if ur mum doesn't give u money,do ur grandparents/relatives,if so,try not to spend it on unnecessary things.Put aside first, then think what u can't do without. However,if there is noone to give u money then u could do smth which is like a job ,4 eg.,accept to help out smb/relative in return 4 some money.Good luck!
- Do chores for the neighbors, mow lawns, do a paper route... George a.
