  1. if he wins the superbowl... retires, what better way to go out than on top, if he loses, come back for a year or two, he has a great team behind him now
  2. as long as he is playing at this level and having fun of course
  3. one more year***
  4. He should retire. The Packers will get to the Super Bowl this year, but will lose to the Pats. I think if the Pats are so dominate next year, there will be no chance for Favre to win anther super bowl.
  5. he should play until he dies.... j/k, he needs to retire
  6. I know he is saying he has alot left still but he as great as he is he has lost the ability to be very mobile which is something you really need in the game these days. So I think if he wins he has to walk and just stay on top.
  7. I would like for him to retire before he gets seriously hurt. He has nothing to prove anymore
  8. come back ! can you name 10 QB's clearly better than him in the league right now? of course not - if the Packers dont want him im sure Atlanta would take him back
  9. goes out on top with a SB, if he loses then I think for sure he comes back. Many of us wont think he is nuts when he claims this is a talented team nxt yr!
  10. After this year I would play one more year.
  11. I say he should quit after this season. He has done pretty much everything a great quarterback can do, including being the league's MVP, and winning the SuperBowl. What else is left for him to proof? Don't forget that most football players retired into disabilities. I wouldn't want that to happen to Farve.
  12. Retire. He will go out at the top of his game whether he wins or loses the Super Bowl.
  13. Play. Favre will be better then 70% of the QBs in the NFL when he is 40. There is no reason for him to stop playing until he feels it necassary. If GB does win this year it'll only fuel Favre's compeditive spirit to try and do it again next year.
  14. Farve has proven alot of critics wrong this year. Many media and fan outlets considered him done last season. He has a much better team around him and that has obviously alot to do with it. Farve doesn't need to try to win the game himself anymore. #4 has more passion and love for the game than any player I have ever seen so I would imagine him back next season regardless of whether he wins another title or not. Best of luck to him, he deserves it.
  15. i think he should come back- and keep coming back until he pulls an Elway and comes out on top no other way to go out! Unless he decides making it to the Super Bowl is enough...
  16. if he wins the SB, he should walk off into the sunset; but if they don't win, he still has a very good team for another couple of years, he could stick around. sucks to be Aaron Rogers.
  17. I dont know. He has had a good season, doesn't show too many signs of age.
  18. Brett the man with no lips. I hear they are getting a special wheel chair ready so he can play on when he is in his 50s. I bet he comes back for another year maybe two if he has no injuries Go Brett
  19. I've never wished he would step aside and retire. Personally, I hope he plays for a lot longer. Not only does the guy still have what it takes to be the best in the game since he's pretty much proven that this year, but he's good for the team, community, and the game. When that day does come when he decides to hang it up, it will be a sad day for all of football. Go Pack!
  20. As much as I LOVE Brett Favre...i'm really tired of everyone talking about how old he is. It comes up at least 2-5 times in every game. I want a Super Bowl and Brett to live happily ever after...
  21. Should Favre retire? No..... realistically he is one of the top 5 qbs in the NFL this year in almost all statistics (also recieved 1/2 a vote for MVP this year). Brett had mediocre stats before this season for 2 years, and many people were calling for his head saying the franchise needs to move on. Well those bandwagon jumpers are silent this year now that he has had one of his career best season and has the packers sitting in the NFC championship game. The issue has not been with Favre's ability (although fastball is a smidge slower, not quite as mobile, as all comes with age) he is still an overly athletic and capable quarterback. The main difference in his off years has been the cast around him. This year packer fans are getting a view of a young team that plays well together and are highly talented, and with that kind of team in place Favre's numbers are GREAT. So the real question is aside from the Packers possibly in the superbowl (and dare I imagine if they won the superbowl), will this Green Bay packers team be as good next year with all its young talent, or will it end up like the Bears were this year following there amazing superbowl run? I think the Pack will be a good maybe great team next season, which means Favre should have another great season himself and there is nothing more entertaining than watching Brett enjoying the teams success. So I don't feel he should retire after this season, even if they do hoist the Lombardi Trophy, because who is to say that the Pack doesn't have a shot next year? I believe Brett should retire on top but that might be after next season! But you can bet your last dollar that when Favre walks off of Lambeau field for the last time there won't be a dry eye in Wisconsin........
  22. Angrydawg nailed it. My opinion, one more year at a time.
  23. I think he should return for one more season. He should declare at the start that it will be his last season though.
