Should Evander Holyfield retire?
Should Holyfield retire after his loss to Sultan Ibragimov? Or, should he go after one of the other belts? Also, if Holyfield were to retire, would he still have a career in the boxing world? It's my opinion that Evander is in denial that his career is over.

- Yeah he should retire. He could always come up with a grill like George Foreman did, maybe call it "Evanders Knock-out punch grill machine"
- He should have retired 5 year ago. But thats how bad boxing is now.
- Yes he should retire. Will he? is another question. The fact is he is still in shape and extremely talented and because the heavyweight division is not at the greatest level right now he is able to beat many of the boxers in the top 30-40. This lands him momentum to get in with top 20 fighters which he is competitive with but not dominant which he once was. He can go the distance with at least half of the champions but not without taking a lot of unnecessary punishment. He showed a lot of heart in his recent fights but I would hate to see him take permanent damage in a fight which is why I agree that it is time for him to retire. He believes that he can still beat all the champions out there and refuses to quit until he does. He believes God is on his side and with God all things are possible. That is pretty hard for me to argue with especially since he has done it twice before coming back from a bad heart and then again later in his career. The only 4 time heavyweight champion.
- @ phil he has on grill type device its on his website lol
- Yes!, listen to him speak.
- He should retire. He's already taken too many punches. He's kidding himself if he thinks he can win another title. I don't think he really believes that. He probably blew most of his money and is now trying desperately to get some purses that can ensure his retirement. I understand that he has 25 children, most of them illegitimate, and probably is required to pay a ton of child support. Once he retires we probably won't hear from him again.
- I have to tell you, when Holyfield lost to the likes of Larry Donald, Chris Byrd and James Toney, he should have hung up the gloves then. To continue as long as he has is a sad way for one of the era's best to end his career. Even if Holyfield does the next to impossible and does win another title, the belts are meaningless, the alphabet soup sanctioning bodies have destroyed the meaning of the word "champion". Evander should have retired a long time ago.
- evander should have retired 5 years ago. he has nothing left to prove and long ago established himself as a top 15 all time heavyweight great.
