Is BCCI Luring players to join IPL and to retire early?
Alot of people have been retiring lately... i can recall 3 right now... Gilly, Pollock and now, Fleming and surprisingly all 3 of them are going to be joining IPL. Full list here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Premier_League And i just read a cricinfo article, where Ponting is worried that the lure is going to lead to many players retiring early to play in the IPL as IPL is not in ICC's schedule, so players have to choose between IPL or ICC's cricket matches.. What are ur thoughts on this? http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/ipl/content/current/story/336628.html GOOD NEWS.... MY FAVORITE PLAYER MD. KAIF HAS BEEN IN BY IPL!!! HAS BEEN ROPED IN BY IPL**** (i need to proofread)

- Well what the BCCI want the BCCI usually get, dont they... Ofcause it looks good to the players, more money, more time with their families and less time traveling, who caresabout little people under the ICC? Not BCCI that is for sure..
- yes
- Remember Kerry Packer series and how almost all the great cricketers dumped and left to play those games. No one cared about their teams and top teams were so weak and were tying to look for players. Exactly the same happens unless individual boards act upon and generate more revenue. If the top quality players retire to play in IPL, then we know who dominates the game.
- it might be ponting next mind him!! i think it is up to the players to decide to play for nation with pride or try earning fast bucks!!
