Trustworthy overseas teaching programs?
Graduation is fast approaching for me (May 2008), and I'm set on going overseas for the next two years because I've never traveled out of the US before. I've been looking into teaching programs in the Asian countries (JET program, Travel & Teach in South Ko., etc), but I'm wondering if there are other programs (must be trustworthy or credible) that I can apply to as well? Ones that pay nicely? Suggestions and experience stories wold be greatly appreciated!

- Here are a few excellent websites. The first one http://www.eslcafe.com/ is probably the most comprehensive overseas teaching site. There are job forums & postings, teacher forums, lesson ideas... The second one is http://www.transitionsabroad.com/ which deals with all sorts of issues about living abroad.....The third one is a watchdog organization/site which tries to keep an up to date list of BAD/blacklisted schools. These schools are the ones which abuse teachers. Just google "blacklisted tefl schools" http://www.teflwatch.org/..... good luck in your teaching future. Keep your eyes open, have a sense of humour, be flexible and enjoy your time abroad.
