- You could give it to someone to hold onto it for you and tell them not to give it to you until you reach a certain amount
- Well the best way i can provide is to either get a short term cd account which will not allow you to withdrawal from it or either get an account where you can always deposit but only withdrawal for emergencies only.
- Put it in a CD at your bank (certificate of deposit) you can pick the time you want it locked up. This way you will be earning interest and not be tempted to spend it. Val
- Give it to someone that you trust that will hold on to it for you! Or put it in a bank account!
- I have the same problem. My solution is, every time I get a little money ($50 or more), I put it in a CD for at least a year. While it's maturing, I can't touch it. If I tried to cash it in early, I would lose money.
- Write goals down for what you are trying to save up for. Keep it on you at all times so you can look at it everytime you think about wasting money or spending on something that could wait.. Self control is a B----. But it will be worth it when you accomplish and you will be so proud of yourself.Trust me i know! I own a small business and its really hard to budget.
- This is what I did. I put it in a savings account and got a MAC card. This way when I had extra I could put right in the account by using the MAC Machine even if the bank was closed. Also if I had an emergency and needed the money (Emergency means MESH = Maintenance, Education, Support or Health) I was able to use the money with my MAC Card. By having the MAC Card you are more aware of what you spend since you have to pull out the card, mark in your account register what you spend then subtract for a current balance. Unlike with cash where you pull it out of you pocket and just spend. Good Luck.
- Have an Bank Account as well as Term Deposit with OD (Over Draft Limit, to the extent of 70% or more) of your Term Deposit. You may check with your bankers, and you may also have an recuring Deposit scheme, through which you can mount sizeable amount over 12 month and than transfer those funds to Term Deposit and start another recuring A/c.
