  1. Make your money work for you. Don't just let it sit in your bank account earning a pitiful interest rate. Use it to make more money...in investments/real estate/etc... Oh another thing is...never buy a car new! It loses so much value in the first year you own it. Buy Certified Pre-Owned...you get the added protection of a longer warranty period and it's practically a brand new car after it's been reconditioned.
  2. I read Rich Dad, Poor Dad. It is a good book but it didn't really teach me anything new.
  3. I learned a LOT! 1) If you work for a salary, you pay a lot of tax before your expenses are paid. If you have a business, don't pay much tax because your expenses are deducted from your tax! 2) The Cash-flow quadrant is a great model for understanding how people make money. You will finally understand why some people get rich and others don't. 3) It's a great introduction to the world of finances - not too tough to read, and quite entertaining too. Well written.
