Brett Favre retired?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
After all these years, it looks like Brett has decided to retire. I can't believe it!!! I hope Rodgers can pull the load and get the Packers to the Super Bowl. What is your reaction to him retiring and do you think the Packers will be any good without him?

- As long as Rogers stays healthy they will be fine.
- HE IS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ABOUT TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- ITS A SAD DAY IN THE NFL..........
- Well the Colts are playing the Packers in Green Bay this year and I'm a die hard Colts fan. I was really looking forward to seeing the matchup of two of the greatest qbs of our time. I think that Rodgers has learned well from Favre and has a lot of great talent around him. It's a good shot they'll go 10-6 or 11-5.
- NO!!!!!!!! It's a hoax! Like Elvis dying and the Kennedy assasination!
- Rodgers can't do it. When I saw that he retired I was like omg that completely took me by surprise.
- The Packers won't fall off the face of the earth without Favre. They have enough skill postion players to ease the transition to Aaron Rodgers. Not to be insensitive, but it's not like the Packers were tearing up the league recently anyway (only 3 playoff wins since Holmgren left).
- It really really really really really really really really really really Sucks. Hopefully Aaron will pull through this year.
- The more glaring problem for the pack now is who is the star? Doesn't matter is it's your star QB-Brady, your star RB-Tomlinson, or even a star Def guy like Ray Lewis. Every team needs one, they're they guys that people come to see. They fill the seats. Every team has them, sometimes a few of them. Every team needs them. Shouldve signed Moss or Turner, and LAST year when it was an actual possibility. Turner being the more realistic of the two. For the playmaking factor, but more importantly, the star factor. The shot in the arm that gives everyone hope. My point being, who's jersey will the packer fans be wearing this year? Sure, lots of great, young players still on the team, but no stars. Everyone has a star, now the packers have none, thats a huge problem, both for the team, and the franchise.
- Brett gone now they gotta hope for colt brennan or matt ryan in the first round
- What's with all these Bears fans hating on Favre? In answer to your question, Nothing lasts forever. I think Rodgers will be just fine because they have a great nucleus around him. They should make the playoffs this year and contend for the championship next year.
- It's very sad but we new it was coming eventually. I think they'll be good but Rodgers needs to prove that he can play without getting injured. THANKS BRETT!!!!!!!!!
- I'm still holding out hope that at his press conference he's gonna say, "Aw, I'm just messin' with y'all!!! Yee-haw!" Or maybe God will tell him to come back, like Reggie White (WTF?)
- It's ABOUT TIME he retired. Then I don't have to hear all the hype made about him.
- It's about time. How long can one old guy fling a football around? He may as well go out on the winning side of things. [Cut and pasted from the last time I answered this same question 2 minutes ago.]
- Yes, SADLY, he did. I looked up to him, and he was the BEST player ever, and certainly the BEST QB. He could've broken all of the rest of the records, and pulled his team together to win the next superbowl. He shouldn't have just given up, when they were SO close to winning this year. Someone should create a petition bringing back brett favre, I'm sure we could get millions of ppl to sign it.
- He hasn't really retired yet :) Well at least i refuse to let it sink in Be like me and give it a shot - Sign this petition below http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/come-back-brett-bring-favre-out-of-retirement
