How can I save money/goods?

How can I continue living decently (bachelor supporting self atm) with the ongoing recession? I know "officially" it's only been called a 'slowdown', but it's obviously a recession.

3. First, I don't know if we're in a recession yet. Second, a recession does not impact everybody equally. You don't say how an alleged recession will impact your job/business. If a slow down does not impact your paycheck, you should be able to maintain your lifestyle. Assuming we have an economic slowdown.
