How can I earn/save money to buy a car (15 yrs old)?

I live on long island and I want to be able to pay for at least half, which is around 13-18 thousand dollars, of my first car. The car I'm aiming for is the bmw 335xi, or 328xi. How can i make that significant amount of money by this time, next year when I'm 16. In the fall im busy after school, the summer i wont be around for 3-4 weeks, but all spring and winter I am free after school. Thanks alot for your answers. i currently have about 3 grand in the bank yea, i know most kids dont get 30K first cars. but thats exactly why Im trying to make and save money. I'm actually maturelly going about this. A bmw xi will last at least 10 years, well into life after college. (my family is in the upper-middle class) uh, hamn, I dont know anyone who is on their 11th car by their twenties. Can you cite where you got the statistic that "every driver under 19 gets into a car accident"? You obviously have some driving issues and/or bad experiences with cars. Its also a possibility that you are jealous, hamn, that I am being proactive, and working toward a car as a 15 year old that is probobly nicer then whatever you are driving around. good idea jballz! i should get a job! you act like i dont know that, im just asking people what jobs they reccomend

Well I'm not sure how you could without getting some sort of part time job. But any money you make you should put into a high yield savings account. Then you make money on your money.

let me tell you something. You are not gonna get a 30,000 dollar car for you first car. Use that thing in your head. it doesn't make sense. get yourself a cheap reliable car, then over time, you can get fancier and more expensive cars
Unless your last name is Gates or Trump your first car probably won't be either of those you listed. 13-18K is what some people make working full time in a YEAR! and you can only work part time, etc. I would work what jobs I can, save it, invest what you do have in CD's and work towards getting something you can pay cash for. You can find something decent for your first car. Good luck!
i hope you know that this is the studiest idea i've ever heard of. Statistics show that every driver under 19 WILL get into a car accident, major or minor, so what makes you an exclusion? Why are you going to save up for a 30k car, and watch it get destroyed the first year you have it when you can have your parents pay for a 15 grand car, and save up money for the nicer car when you total the first one. During high school, i was in 4 car accidents, and being in my early 20s, im at my *11thth car. Trust me kiddo. there are NO exceptions to that statistic, wheatehr or not you want to beleive it. and to answer your question, you can save up money by mowing lawns, and bake sales, which sounds weird, but me and my roomates raised almost a thousand from a bakesale last month for our local orphanage

Personally in highschool I got a blackberry and started day trading between classes. Most of all i suggest you do the same thing I do for most of my money, two words; Trust Fund!
