How do I save up money without getting a job??

I've dreamed too long. I wanna be a video game designer/J-pop singer/Japanese horror actress. I've wanted to since I was 5 and move to Japan. But I'm sick of dreaming! I wanna live it out...NOW. I wanna do something towards my future. Like saving money up to go for college and to move to Japan after. NO, I'm not gonna run away or anything. lol. I'm writing a few songs right now, and then I'll use them later on. How can I make money now though? My parents won't pay me to do chores, and I can't get a job yet. I've only got $200 saved cuz my parents keep taking it out for bills and groceries! Without my permission! I'd understand if they'd ask. But they won't even tell me the number to my account. How can I save money until I get a job though? Please help? Thank you so much! Please list numerous options? Thanks again! :) I'll be 14 April 20th. But my parents won't listen either...It's aggravating me. grr

  1. Thats pretty much impossible. You'll need some kind of job, like baby sitting, house sitting, shopping for an elderly neighbor, or something. You cant save money, if you dont make money?
  2. Talk to some one about investing. If you keep putting money in an account and don't take the money out for a long time, it will build up and become a lot more money than what you once had. Ex. i am 16 now and have $700 in an account. by the time i am 35, there will be around $45,000 in there. i started out with $500. See! and i just don't touch the money until then. It will pay off =)
  3. Try upromise.com. If your parents sign up for that you get small amounts for college by buying groceries and other things. I don't go out of my way to buy things that give the cash and it took me 5 years to get $200, but that is free money! Another idea is to sign up for a 529 plan. Do a search for your state. You can also sign up for a 529 plan through upromise.com. Do you have a grandmother or aunt that can sign up for you? You can give them money that you get for birthday and Christmas gifts to put in the account. If your parents have to take your money to buy groceries, you will probably qualify for financial aid so try not to worry about it for now.
