Anyone got any 2D video game ideas?
By games I mean video games. I am at war with my older brother who apparently beats me at everything. We are having a game making face - off. The probelm is I've been making games too long and I'm running out of ideas. His last game was called 2340. You are a futuristic drug dealer and the game is so creative that it's something you would expect on a store shelf. The game has to be 2-D and not FPS or RPG (RPG was my last game... most glitchiess game I have ever made). If anyone does help I would need a story, its genre, its time (futuristic to prehestoric), type of game, birdseye or side scrolling, and some creative ideas. Whatever idea I decide to use will get best answer. Thank you for reading all this. (I wouldn't have any patience to read this)

- I would say I platform game, as in Mario. But have more of a plot to it. Or, make a fighting game like Tekken. Good luck!
- I always wanted to do a 2d fighter, using popular slasher flick charachters. Freddy, Jason, Edward Scissorhands (just because), Chucky, Ash from Army of Darkness, Captain Spalding, etc. You coulde even have a special challenge level where you're underwater fighting Jaws..... That would be totally hot. You can even use settings from various time periods, theme music is already there, it should save you a good bit of effort.
- You can make an online 2d mystery that takes place in the future. Detective... has recently been assighned to a mission. Dr. ... has been murdered and you nedd to kill the killer. After each level fighting evil future mutant men you will find a clue that gets you closer to the killer. In the game you should be able to design your characters or choose one of your creation. If so is possible make it 2 players or online so you won't be alone when playing.
