If I live overseas, can I get an American loan?

My husband and I live overseas, but I am an American citizen. I have good credit. Could I get a loan in the US to buy a house overseas?

1. why not? contact your bank and ask for a referral or a letter of credit to an American bank. Should not be a problem.
