  1. Well ............. got rid of the car last summer, now just use the bike and bus..... Thats a fortune saved. More obscure, but incredibly saved me a great deal too.... My freezer packed up, so I thought I wont replace it...... As a result I obviously save electricity, but I only buy fresh food every other day, and that saves the pennies too...... I know its had to believe but my food and electric bills have lessened by £350 at least, just by losing the freezer
  2. Oh boy, we've done all sorts of things: We've garaged one of the cars (and canceled the insurance) and are only driving one now. We ride our bikes to every destination within 2 miles of our house. Renting movies from Redbox for $1 instead of going to the theater. Canceled magazines and the newspaper. Planted a vegetable garden and 4 more fruit trees. Giving home haircuts. Put soup on the menu once a week. No eating out. Bought chickens to raise our own eggs. Buying bread from the $1 store instead of the bakery. Eating more peanut butter sandwiches. Making our own pet food.
  3. 1) Tell all the women to pay their own way to the restaurant and movies or stay at home. 2) Git rid of those over priced monthly cell phone bills and get a prepay. 3) Buy a 4 cylinder and/or use the bus. 4) Get a room mate or 2. 5) Do more walking to the store and where ever. 6) Do not over do it on the visa. 7) Get out of debt. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yvRZoM-2r8&feature=related
  4. The only thing is I've put less money in savings to offset the increase in gas. I started cutting coupons to offset the increase in food prices. Those are the only two areas that are hurting the pocketbook. I still have my job and don't foresee losing it.
  5. Always make sure I do all errands in one trip. More creative with leftovers for dinners No paying for outside entertainment Not buying books, using the library more.
