How does an American begin the process of retiring in Scotland?
I'm just in the "thinking about it" phase now & was really wondering how difficult and/or feasible it would be.

- Scotland, east coast or west coast ? You have to take some inuit training (eskimo) to endure wind, lashing rain and cold. And then only you can start thinking about it.
- It's very feasible. You should work your a** off in US and invest your money in IRA/401(K)/Bonds/Shares such that you make sure that you can afford to live in Scotland when you are retired.
