retirement oz

How does an American begin the process of retiring in Scotland?

I'm just in the "thinking about it" phase now & was really wondering how difficult and/or feasible it would be.

  4. Scotland, east coast or west coast ? You have to take some inuit training (eskimo) to endure wind, lashing rain and cold. And then only you can start thinking about it.
  5. It's very feasible. You should work your a** off in US and invest your money in IRA/401(K)/Bonds/Shares such that you make sure that you can afford to live in Scotland when you are retired.
