retirement oz

Do you think Bret Favre of the Green Bay Packers should retire?

Should he risk injury by playing another year or more? If he stays, would he have a chance of going out with another Super Bowl win? Does he have anything more to prove as being one of the greatest quarterbacks?

  1. He has NOTHING more to prove to be the BEST QB EVER. I personally think that he gave us Packers fans a huge lift last year and it was one hell of a ride. If he retires, i will be VERY excited to see Rodgers in action. That kid is good!!! But if Favre comes back i will be equally as happy as long as he stays healthy. Worst Case Scenario: Favre gets hurt and rides the bench to retirement. Boo. I'd much rather have him go out with a season like last year. Go Pack, Go!
  2. Not a big fan of the guy as I'm a Lions fan but with the season he just had which was one of his best in a few years it'd be good for the NFL if he played another year or two.
  3. No
  4. he has one more thing to prove and that is to the favre haters he is still the man. they can hate him all they want they cant take away his accomplishments.
  5. No way he should retire yet unless he has personal reasons to do so. He is still a top 5 QB in the NFL, and why go out when you still got game? He doesn't have anything left to prove. He just loves to play and probably wouldn't know what to do without football.
  6. YES PLEASE.....he's to old and he should retire before he gets injured really bad!
  7. he is the best ever, give him one more season
  8. I bet the guy is in enormous amounts of pain. Remember he was addicted to painkillers before? For his personal health, yes he should. The game is wrecking havoc on him. As for us fans, no. I'm not a packers fan, but is it brilliant to see him out there. He had a great season, and would expect him to do it again. The league is quarterback weak right now, and he is one of the few bright spot on a sunday roster.
  9. To me and to his fans no, he has nothing more to prove. He is already my favorite, and to me, the greatest QB. But to himself, i feel he has a lot to prove yet. If he comes back, it will only be to prove that he isnt too old to play ball. To prove that he doesn't need to be sent out to pasture. The man re-writes history every single game he plays now, and i think he has one more season in him. Not for the money, not for the fame, but for the glory of the sport. He knows his guys are good enough to get another ring, and after all those years, he definitly deserves one. I think he will try to finish the way Elway did. But if he stays home, and retires, no shame in it Brett, you have a ring already, 3 MVPs and your name all over the record books. Even though i am far from Green Bay ( south Texas), i am a fan of Brett and the Packers for life.
  10. If I were Favre, I would retire. I would be willing to bet an entire paycheck that the Packers will not be as good next year as they were this year. Why go back, at age 38 having already won a Superbowl, to a team that won't be as good next year as they were this year?
  11. Being a Giants fan I hope he comes back. His last pass of the season was a great one for us but I hope it wasn't the last pass of his career. He's the best QB to play the game and the toughest no doubt. He brought a young team pretty far last year and I think he can do it again. It would be a shame if he retired now, and he deserves to go out on top
  12. He still seems to enjoy the game. He should play until he wants to do something else
  13. Brett Favre should not retire, even though he has nothing left to prove. Favre lives and breathes football. Why should you quit something you love when you know you can only do it for a short time? I think he enjoys what he does, until the Packers have another bad year (which will happen this year), and then he calls it quits. The man is a legend in every sense of the word, and the only reason the Packers made it to the NFC title game because he wanted them to. I love Brett Favre, even though I am a Bears fan.
  14. Yes, PLEASE!
  15. No Favre shouldn't retire. He is still the greatest QB to ever play the game. Favre had something to prove 10 years ago. As for now, he has nothing to prove. Even taking all the records, wasn't meant for him to prove anything. Favre should play until he doesn't have the desire anymore. After he walks away, it will be for good. The Packers are a young team and will only get better in the 08 season. Favre is a legend and has given us wisconsinites reason to cheer every sunday. As for the guy that said he would bet 1 paycheck that the Packers won't be as good. Your 200 dollar paycheck isn't worth anything to me buddy. YOu just wish Favre was on your team. The Pack is one of the top teams in the NFC!!! Go Pack Go!!!!!!!!
