Should Mayweather retire now, or prove his claim to be the best by challenging Cotto or Williams?
After tonight's fight, it can definitely be said that Mayweather still has some juice left in him. I believe he should take that juice and challenge another big name........Cotto, Williams, hell even Antonio Margarito. What do you guys think?

- He has nothing to prove. williams will lose to Quintana in March. You heard it here first.
- To prove he is the best he has to fight cotto
- He should retire. It is time. His beating Cotto proves nothing as he has beaten the best.
- I dont like the guy he went up against 2 washed up boxers. I can guarentee if he went up against Oscar in his prime Oscar would of knock Mayweather out in the first round.
- I thought he did retire...
- retire
- Floyd is afraid of any of these guys man..don't you see that Floyd does not even mention these particular names ever!
- i really want him to fight cotto. That fight would be SPECTACULAR it would be the most hyped, publicized, and action packed in 30 years of boxing. Mayweather is a Star and cotto is a great fighter, this fight would prove it all. for cotto it would show that he is the next great welerweight and is still young, strong, and determined to win. For mayweather a win agaisnt cotto would launch him to another world, from a superstar into a legend. This fight would be the biggest fight i think alot of us would c and if this were too happen i would buy this fight in a second and c the greatest in the ring. But if he does retire he is still great.
- He should retire now. There will always be a really great boxer out there to fight....always. But a man have to call it quits sometime. He dominated at 6 different weight clases. He beat the best at all 6 weight classes. He is a natural 130 pounder who fought his way up to 154 pounds and beat the best. He made $50 million this year alone. He does not have anything else to prove. He should retire.
- I don't think mayweather has anything left to prove,he clearly is still pound for pound the best
- What does he have to do to please you? The man has won 6 world championships in 5 different weight classes. How many people can say that? He's been a multi-weight champion for how many years now? He just outboxed a guy who said he was going back to Britain with the crown. What more should he do? Him fighting any of those guys won't do anything to his credibility. By the way, the WBC belt is the major measuring stick. Him winning the WBA or IBF belts don't mean as much. He might not be THE GREATEST but he is one of the ALL TIME GREATS. Obviously people will never be satisfied but oh well such is life.
- If he really wants to be considered as one of the best ever, then he's got to take care of the remaining unbeatens in the division. Cotto would be the next logical choice because he has the bigger name which means a bigger payday for Floyd. I just can't seem him retiring and not fighting Cotto because they are the two best in the same divsion and that would leave some unfinished business. Even though he's the best and really doesn't have a whole lot to prove, if he doesn't fight Cotto that will always be a question mark on his record because people will say that while he was the best, he never fought Miguel Cotto, the second best in his weight class. That's why Leonard HAD to fight Hearns in 1981, that's why Calzaghe HAD to fight Kessler ealier this year. When you have two unbeaten (though Sugar Ray wasn't unbeaten when he fought Hearns, but he still was the top dog in the division back then) champions in the same division and in their primes, they almost HAVE to fight each other. I predict that Floyd will take a nice long rest, and then beat the drums for a Cotto showdown shortly thereafter and they will get it on next summer in one of the most anticipated fights in boxing history. It HAS to happen!
