retirement oz

Should Brett Favre retire or play another season?

I like Brett Favre he is one of the greatest GB ever to play like Joe and Dan and Troy. I would like to see Brett finish this season on top even a Super Bowl win but when do you ask your self "Should I play again or step down?" How much more of a beating can my body take?

  1. Brett Farve is getting on my nerves. He's just like Roger Clemens and keeps coming back. Just retire already! Also...I'm partly saying this for my bias towards Dan Marino and the Miami Dolphins.
  2. Let him play for as long as he wants to. It is his decision, not yours.
  3. I'm shocked he's leading his team this well so far! But in all seriousness, this needs to be his last season as head QB. Give the backup a chance to lead the team for a change. I'd like to see them in the SB, but I'm not sure about that. The Cowboys are looking really good this season... (And I'm not even a Boys fan!)
  4. It really depends on how the Packers finish this season. If they end up not so hot this year, I say Bret should give it one more go round.
  5. I would like to see him retire while he still is in good shape, not keep playing until he gets that one awful sack that might cause him much harm. He is one of the greats, and I want to remember him at his peak.
  6. He needs to play a couple of extra years, so that he will be eligible for social security.
  7. retire? not yet -- the pack is 3-0 in a weak division ...
  8. u answered your own question at the end of your question at what point do you ask yourself...... it's up to him if he can still produce it's up to him when to call it a career. i am a bears fan i would take him as a QB over anybody we have.
  9. After watching him play yesterday I see no reason for him to hang up the Pads he was almost perfect in the second have. In my Opinion I think he is the Greatest of all time. He is what makes Football Great, He plays for the pure joy of the game and respects the game and what it means.
  10. Can't say until I see how he plays this season. So far so good.
  11. I think he should. He is a great Quarterback, but he is getting old, and not able to keep the pace for the whole season. Brett has admitted he is feeling the aging effects on himself. Nothing against all his accomplishments, but the time has come.
  12. I am not a Packers fan however I do think that Brett is one of the best QB's in the game. I also think that he know his body and how much football he has left in him. Brett will retire when and only when he is ready. Be it next season or two seasons from now. I think that as long as he is able to play and as long as the Packers want him around he is going to be there.
  13. i'm tired of stressing on what he should do. reason being, is cause i dont know where he stands physically. i know he is still capable of playing mentally. he still hasnt been hurt yet. by the sounds and looks of it, he has plenty of juice left in the tank. what's the point of asking questions like this anyways? he wont listen to you. he prefers to prove the media wrong in every insult thrown his way. my prediction: favre will retire after this season cause the packers will make the playoffs. he'll be happy about that and settle down.
  14. Favre will retire when he is ready to retire. He has allot of juice left in his tank and he is in the best shape of his career right now after having ankle surgery in the off-season. Favre won't be satisfied by just making the playoffs. Favre wants a superbowl ring and the Pack arent that far from that goal. The Pack organization already said that they will never ask Favre to hang it up. When Favre doesn't play for the love of the game, Favre will retire. Until then, he should play the game. The worst thing is hanging it up and regretting it because he can't play anymore. Favre doesn't do it for the records but for sheer enjoyment of the game. Go Pack Go
