What are some good ideas for a going-away party?
There's some people that are moving away, and a bunch of my friends and I are planning a going-away party. It is an ADULT party, not a teen or a children's party. What are some good ideas for it? No theme-party ideas please. Is a book-type thing or a card where everyone signs and leaves a comment for the people moving away a good idea?

- I still remeber my going away party. I had all my closes friends over. It was in the summer time so we kind of had a barbeque in the backyard with lots of time to just sit around and talk about all of our good memories. Another great thing to do is make a slideshow of all your fun memories together with these people and play it during the party.
- I like the idea of the comment cards. You should put a big basket at the front where people can randomly write them. A going away party is more or less a sad thing, so if you know them well enough, try putting together things that you remember about them. Ex: A power point of pictures of them, small scrapbooks, their favorite games; food; drink. Try to make the party attitude cheery though, because a sad party wouldn't be fun at all.
