Any birthday party ideas for 10 year old boy?

I am pregnant and my due date is a week and a half after my son's birthday. I need party ideas (he'll be 10) that will require little or no effort because I'll be 9 and half months pregnant.

  1. At 9.5 months u might even be in the hospital. However, for a ten year old why not try a wrestling theme? BOys that age love that but make it safe. Maybe an inflatable wrestling ring for fun and arm wrestling contests. There are endless possibilities.
  2. just pick a theme..like his favorite cartoon and buy a bunch of that stuff and have activities that require no effort on yr part.. and why r u 9 and a half months? shouldnt u have had yr baby?
  3. well i know ten yr old boys very well! so i would say find out what the child likes and do a cool simple party with his freinds and let him choose what he wants! =] if its a suprise party dont exactlly make a theme just put the theme as his favorite colors so you cant go wrong! he will love it! btw dont invite to many kids cuz then it will get crazy. invite like 4 of his freinds at the most and let them just do whatever they want at the party. they will have fun and you can relax. i would make it a short party. not all day it would be to hard on you. make it like 4-5 hours. that way you dont have to wake up early or go to sleep late. it would only take up the middle of the day. no night and morning stuff it would be to much for you.
  4. Well, what are his intrests. If he is intrested in something like StarWars then getting the movies and a theme cake would be okay. I know my Nephew had started to "teenager' by that point and so his party didn't have a theme, he just invited some friends over they rented movies and 'hung' out. It is hard to say where you don't say what kinds of things he is 'in' to. What is he getting for his birthday too because if he is getting something like a console game or if you have a Wii then they would probably like to have a game tourney or something. Good luck
  5. How about a bowling party Or Arcade party -- or something of the sort ? Keeping the party out side of your house eliminates a lengethy clean up ( Both before company arrives AND after. ) Especially with boys..things can get outve hand fast. Having everyone meet at the bowling ally ; the boys can play - as the parents can chat and watch over them . All you'd really need to supply is the cake. Check with your bowling ally-they usually have birthday packages..that include a party room , and clean up! <3 Best of luck
  6. I recently had my sons b-day party and I had Rapture Rehabilitation come to my home and it was nice. They brought 9 birds of his choice, Great Horned Owl, Red Tail Hawk, Turkey Buzzard, etc.... they boys and girls sat quietly while the instructor did all the work and explained each animal to the kids. It was awesome. The cost was a donation that goes to feeding the birds $100.00 they also brought the owl pellets (what the owls spit back up after digesting their critter) and the kids were able to disect them and see what the own had eaten. It was a awesome party.
  7. every time my kids have thier birthday i want to make it quick and short so this is what i do... 1) make something that serves a crowd, sloppy joes, casseroles, or chips and varities of dips: nacho cheese, chili cheese dip, anything thats a no-brainer and cheap or have already around the house. 2)only invite the closer family 3)and make your own cake so you dont have to go and pick it up, you can make your cake double layer and such like that. 4)only theme your child's party on the cake only, my child loves the cars movie so i look at pics of cars on the computer and try to copy that from the computer to the cake by hand icing it on the cake! 5)when everyone arrives they eat, do presents, and have cake at any time and when ever they feel like leaving is up to them.
  8. Ask your son what he would like to do...maybe have him invite a few friends over for pizza, soda and a small cake.
  9. How about a bowling party? You won't have to do anything but sit there..... It's entertainment in itself.
