Can US and Canadian federal retirement benefits be combined?
If I have worked in both countries, can I use the retirement account in one to add to the other. Specifically: if my SSI in the states does not have enough work units accumulated, can I add to them from my Canadian retirement account?

- Absolutely not.. the two systems are seperately administered, there would not be anyway to do what you suggest without a way for the Canadian and US governments to cooperate and shuttle payments back and forth between the two nations' treasuries, sorry.
