birthday party game ideas for preschool kids 3 to 5 years old?
and would prizes for winners of certain games be a bad idea?

- get a pinata! thats filled with candy! but make sure whatever they are swinging to hit it wont harm them or anyone around them. prizes are not good at preschool level unless everyone gets them. preschoolers are a tad bit selfish at their age level when it comes to that sort of thing
- why dont you try a clown or have someone dress up as their favorite character like barney or just have a party with their friends, it will come out great
- Have a big party! The games you can have are games like musical statues and pass the parcel stuff like that. Also a big nice cake!!!
- #1 Line the kids up and one at a time drop the clothespin in the jar~ hold it waist hight over a large mouthed jar ~see how many you get in the jar~ the one with most in jar wins #2 balloon pop relay~ 2 teams each team lines up and races one at a time against one another to pop the balloons #3 late for work relay~ get over sized clothes break into 2 teams; each team gets a pile of clothes ex: pants, shirt, boots, hat, & coat. line the kids up and place a chair at the end with the clothes. the kids race down, put clothes on, race back to next player, take them off and next player goes.....it's hilarious...may need parent help at each end. careful no one trips and hurts themselves in the large clothing #4 Obsticle course ~ just use your imagination here (good inside or outside) include straddling, jumping, climbing, crawling, running.......... this game list could on & on, do you have a theme, is it a boy or a girl? cheap dollar store prizes are good, or candy, but I would also do party favor bags.
