Creative ideas for kids to present information?
My junior high kids need to a 10 minute presentation on volcanos, tornados and earthquakes in front of a group kids. I don't want them to simply stand up and state what they know about volcanos, tornados and earthquakes. I am trying to come up with a creative way for them to present the information. Any ideas?

- With Volcanoes, get them to show the experiment with the vinegar and detergent- look it up as I can't remember how to do it! With earthquakes, place on small table lots of small, blown up balloons and then place another table on top. The balloons should support the weight. Then ask a small, slim, student to stand on top of the table- the balloons will hold! ask him/her to hold onto the legs and then ask the others in the group to shake the table to represent what happens when an earthquake strikes. What you should do is tie a tissue box to the table and use it as your "richterscale" meter and "increase" the severity of the earthquake. Maybe stop after 4 as, of course, the "earthquake" will be too strong and rough! Tornados- swirl a bottle of water around! Thats about it!
