where is the least expensive place to retire in US?
I would like to know where to retire where taxes are cheap and there are things to enjoy. The weather should be nice whole year round and there should be an airport hub nearby. It should be a safe place as well.

- Be careful of the lure of low taxes. It usually comes with the trap of inadequate services. In this context, I would assume it might be Dallas or Houston, Texas!
- Any street corner near the San Diego airport.
- arkansas you can buy alot of land for a little money there are natural hotsprings lots of fresh air and nice people (hot springs or around there is a good place to live) and theres alot of lakes
- You, me, and millions of other people would like the answer to this one. Probably a small town (maybe without an airport hub), for example a small town on the Olympic Penninsula in Washington State, close enough to Seattle.
- i heard north carolina is the best all around for quality of life
- Texas is pretty cheap. No state income tax, land is cheap, even in small towns in Texas most people live on less than $10000 a year(once house is paid for) But it does get hot in summer, and most places have steady wind. Check it out.
- Delaware Low tax, Clean , Nice for the retired.
- Why don't you move to Mexico?
- Tennessee
