Where is a good place in the PI for a Fil-Am couple to retire ?

Looking for a comfortable, safe, Westerner-friendly place with somewhat modern convieniences other than Makati.

1. You should come here and travel around to the different areas before you make a place to call home, I have lived north of Cebu City for close to 3 years and Love it here. 2. My wife and I moved to Iloilo City in the Visayas (region 6) in 2002. There are quite a few fil am couples here and in Bacolod city in Negros. Many modern shopping centers and supermarkets thatr have imported american food. Many nice resorts and resturants too. You'll also find the cost of living here is 30% less than Makati. 4. Other than Manila, Angeles city has the most Americans the best infrastructure and with out the Manila price tag, traffic and crime.
