- Turned mine into a web cam.
- I would happily send mine to you ... Mine are in a drawer somewhere :-)
- some animal shelters use them to take pictures use them to take pictures of the animals.
- I buy them.
- 1. eBay 2. Stolen at the car wash 3. Gifted to a kid 4. Sitting in a drawer
- Having sold the things I can explain it maybe. Most die well before retirement. The major causes of death are: Drowning. Landing (the result of a fall) Miss use. Abuse. Sand. Water. Circuit board errors. (like E1 or some fancy code for not worth repairing) Overuse (not designed to last more than a few thousand shutter accuations. Why you ask? Ok I tell you - most people buy a point n shoot, use it for a few days to weeks then it lives in a draw till christmas, the beach (suicide), or a birthday or concert. In general they are made as cheaply as possible and are expected to be replaced after a few years anyway. So the few that reach retirement probaby spend it in the greek islands or in someones draws. a
- I'm pretty sure you can ship the old camera back to the manufacturer and they can recycle some of its parts. :]
