Please offer inexpensive ideas for a retirement party.?

I am throwing a retirement party for seven people in my department. I have a very small budget. Any inexpensive ideas for decorations? We have the food covered.

1. Perhaps a tasteful "farewell" sign. You could do some candles floating in a fishbowl of water (or replace them with gerbras or something). Classy looking and inexpensive Or even just a really nice bunch of flowers in a vase in the middle of the table. Simple, clean and elegant
