Are there any jobs that pay really extremely well for a short time so you can retire early?

I don't want to slave my whole life away I have better things to do then work anywhere that could careless about their people and work them to death which I am tired of.

3. Actually 20 years in the military doesn't give you enough money to live on. I know because my hubby just retired as a Mst Sgt and he has to get a job to supplement his retirement. I'd say an anesthesiologist. This pays big big bucks. Or you can be an investment broker...but that one is very risky these days. I wish there was an easy answer to this question and if I had it I wouldn't be sitting at work bored to death answering questions on Yahoo!
4. Its exactly what my mom told me when i was young, if you want something you have to work for it. Money isnt just going to fall into your hands. Your saying you want to work for only a little bit...not possible

7. You certainly can not do that by working hard or by joining the army as I have tried both and failed. But one job where failure is the way to become extremely wealthy (I can not get into) is become Football Manager. Once you've got the job you have to fail spectacularly for best results and you do not need to know anything whatsoever about football. Getting photographed by the News of the World having sex is also a good booster. But the main thing is you get paid millions for your team losing match after match and getting humiliated, like Goran Erikkson or Paul Jewell or "the wally with the brolly". Then just retire, disappear and enjoy your millions for the rest of your life but you could sell your story as "an exclusive" to the Sun if you want to boost your earnings a few millions higher
8. I work from home and have several friends who are also working in the same industry, they have over a period of 4-8 years built businesses which produce an income they could retire on today, but most of them enjoy doing what they do so much. they keep on working, and keep on building an even larger income. It will depend on you, are you prepared to work consistently for say 2-4 years to create an income you could retire on, if so get back to me by email and I will give you some web site addresses to look at.
