i just researched and figured out why barry sanders retired so early, do you wanna kno?
Barry sanders retired because he is a great person. When barry was younger, his favorite player was walter payton, him getting closer to the record, he didnt want to break them so he retired

- no i dont want to know.
- You don't know that. He probably retired because he wanted to be able to walk when he was 50. He also probably wanted to live to be pretty old.
- He retired because one of his lineman got paralysed and another got ran over and killed in the offseason, his line was devastated, he was going to get killed.
- no he retired because he knew that Lion was going to be suck. and they have been sucked ever since
- It is a possiblilty since payton was sick when he retired, and died a short time later. I always thought he would come back after the great WP died, but he never did.
- he wanted to be traded and the Lions refused to trade him or release him. He retired with one year left on his contract.
