- I'm 24 years old and already thinking about retirement. I don't think social insecurity is going to be around when i'm able to retire, if i'm lucky enough to retire. So i'm trying to start now planning for that great day that I can say, I'm no longer going to work i'm going to enjoy life. I'm making sacrafices by living with less now so one day I can retire and enjoy life. Right now I make good money but work doesn't offer a 401k so I have to save on my own. I recommend the dave ramsey book to anyone who is trying to get there financial future togeather. With his methods I have cut my debt in half in just 6 months and plan to be debt free in about 3 more months. Best of luck to you
- We retired rich 10 years earlier than most. Penny watching and dollars saved payed off. So did a great financial adviser Nope don't bag groceries just having fun
- At this point, bagging groceries, but I'm working on the rich part, or at least I won't have to depend on social security and my friends and family. That'll take about 10 years with my current plan. Real Estate in Utah. GOOD plan. Really!
- My goal is to retire relatively well off, what some might consider rich. I have two 401K's one IRA, a pension from a previous job worth $60,000 a year, several mutual funds and individual stocks, a good deal in my bank accounts, my condo mortgage is paid off and I'm saving like a chipmunk. I figure 7 - 10 more years and I'll be there.
- I'd like to retire rich.
