- basically anywhere that this person calls home! I would say being in Canada I know you can live on that amount of money comfortably, and the west coast is warmer than central canada. Hospitalization is covered, and prescription drugs are covered for senior citizens who are canadian.
- probably montana flordia would be nice but hundreds of thousands of illegal cubans and haitians horrid crime and hurricanes would hamper your enjoyment and the cost of living due to the massive waves of puddle jumpers makes life wretched. so montana bring a shotgun in case any of them follow you.
- There are many good areas to retire in. It all depends on your personal preference. If I was a widower, I'd move back to Delaware...MAYBE...or just stay here in s.e. Va. My wife wants to move to Oregon to be near our grand kids (in about 6-7 years). SIGH. If I thought I could afford it, I'd move back to Sardinia (where we were stationed for 3 1/2 years). Try doing some google.com search on areas you might be interested in. Good luck
- The Lewis and Clark Valley in Idaho and Washington (connected by a small drawbridge). It is relatively small, yet has everything you need (restaurants, supermarkets, Walmart, a mall, fast-food places, golf, boating, movies, museums and more). It is a short drive to a casino owned by the Native Americans there. It is also relatively inexpensive to live there. It can get hot in the summer, but until around 11AM it is cool enough for walking. It also stays light until at least 9PM in the summer. It is a valley, so normally does not get snow, and people do golf there in the winter. From there, it is easy to get to Oregon and other parts of Washington and Idaho.
- In the Philippines, with that budget its about close to a Hundred thousand pesos! You can already live in Makati Area where the best hospital, good shopping malls and best sports areas are located. If you are tired of the city, you can visit beaches just like Boracay and Panglao Island in the Visayas, El Nido and Amanpulo in Palawan or Dakak in Zamboanga del Sur, Mindanao. Or just take a relaxation in Baguio City, the summer capital of the Philippines.
- Malaysia has a programme for foreign retirees. The financial qualification criteria are pretty easy. They call it the " Make Malaysia my second Home ". Malaysia is a very good country to retire. People are friendly and the weather is good. Cost of living is cheap and you get the best in almost everything there.
