Does anyone have any indoor game ideas appropriate for 3rd and 4th graders?
I'm in charge of recreation for the 3rd and 4th grade classes for Vacation Bible School and there is a chance of rain for tomorrow. I was given a stack of idea cards, problem is most of them are outside games or they are too complicated to do quickly (I only have about 10-15 minutes). Our theme is a Hawaiian/Island theme so if they can be altered to fit that it would be awesome. Can anybody help? Any and all ideas are appreciated. Thanks!

- When I worked with Elementary Aged students they loved this game called "Silent Ball" and we would play it whenever we were stuck inside the classroom. There is one ball. The student that has the ball throws it to another. That person keeps the ball as long as they want and then throws it to the next person. The catch of the game is that you have to be completely silent. If at any point you laugh, contest a rule, say ANYTHING outloud or make ANY noise aloud you are out and have to sit down. It's hard for Elementary Students because they usually get all giggly. Another one is "Pass the Face" Students sit in a straight line. It's kind of like that game "Telephone" or "Operator". Everyone has to face one direction. The person in the back starts by tapping the person's shoulder who is front of them. That person turns around and the person behind them makes a crazy face. The person the face was passed to must then tap the shoulder of the person in front of them and make the exact same face. It gets passed all the way to the front and of course the face is totally different by the time it gets to the front. After everyone has passed the face, the person in front shows everyone the face. The person who started it then shows what the face really looked like. And then for the oldies but goodies: Heads Up 7 Up, Simon Says, Marco Polo, Red Light/Green Light. All can be played in a small space. Sorry, I can't really help with the theme. How about a Hula contest?
- this is pretty typical, but you can try limbo. it kind of reminds me of a Hawaiian theme.
