  1. I once went to a bridal shower and we played pin the tail on groom, it was more like pin the nose on the groom . We had a life size paper poster drawing of the groom and nose cut outs and did it with a blind fold and all. Very fun
  2. Have everyone write down marriage advice (anonymously) on little pieces of paper, and have someone outgoing read them aloud.
  3. we did at my babyshower : 1.everybody cuts a piece of yarn of the lenght they think the mama's belly is, and at the end compare by putting it around her belly. 2. take chocolate candy bars and put them in the microwave, then put the gooey melted chocolate in a diaper. Pass it around everybody has to guess the bar. 3. who 's the fastest at putting a diaper on a doll with a blindfold (you'd be surprised!)4. put some baby socks in a basket, and whoever is the fastest at dumping them out and putting them in matching pairs 5. pass around some baby food for people to guess what flavor it is by tasting or smelling (gross but guaranteed laughter!) make sure your preggers has somewhere comfy to sit on and is being waited on. I was sitting in an awful chair at mine. have fun! oh ! and also everybody has a card. If you are talking to someone and you say baby, you have to give this person your card. Whoever has the most cards wins. (prizes : gift cards to blockbusters, bath and body works,starbucks...)
  4. This one is really fun and in the end, has everyone in stitches. Give someone a pen and paper and just ask them to sit off in the background, but where they can hear the future bride speaking. Ask them to pretty much write down everything they hear the "bride" say as she is opening up the gifts. She'll normally say some pretty "neat stuff"! After all the gifts have been opened, then the person who was writing down everything has to repeat everything the Bride said (telling her that this will be the things she says on her wedding night)!!! For example, if she says "oh, that is so cute", imagine hearing her say that on her wedding night! Get the idea!
  5. have a bucket of house hold items (like a mop bucket) and string all of the items together with twine or a thin rope. pull the string of items out for everyone to see and hold it there for twenty seconds. Put the string of items back in the bucket and have everyone write down what they remember being on it. The more items you have on the string, the more difficult (or fun) it gets! good ideas for the items would be a plunger, toothbrush holder, sponges, goo-gone, rubber gloves, garbage bags.. you know, that kind of stuff. and all of these items are given to the bride-to-be. the person who rememberd the most items, give them a prize of chocolate. Chocolate should ALWAYS be the prize to any bridal shower game!
  6. My favorite: the toilet paper wedding dress! Split the guests into teams, give them each a roll of toilet paper and they have to create a "dress" for one of the girls on their team out of only the TP. After a suitable time limit (5 minutes or so), each "bride" models her "dress" for the bride and the bride picks the winner. Some people get super creative with this! Don't forget to take pictures!
  7. This one is a spin on a classic game and always fools everyone. You'll need to bride to assist for it. Put a bunch of household items on a tray. Simply tell everyone that this is a memory game and give them a pencil and a piece of paper. Then have the bride walk the tray around to the guests so they can take a look at it. They'll assume that they'll have to write down as many items as possible that they can remember, but don't answer any questions as to how its played beforehand because you'll give away the surprise. So anyways after the bride walks around the room showing the tray to everyone, she needs to leave the room and go somewhere she can't be seen. Then tell everyone they need to be descriptive as possible about what the bride was wearing! They're so focused on everything on the tray that they usually pay no attention to what she had on! Another game is to come up with a list of questions that you think the bride would know about the groom...fav sports team, fav restaurant, fav hobby, etc. Ask the groom the answer to these questions in advance. Then tell your guests that the bride is going to answer x number of questions about the groom, and have them write down how many they think she will get right. Then ask the bride the same questions you asked the groom and whoever guessed the correct amount of right answers, wins.
  8. I just had my bridal shower..these are the best games we played. 1. Make a list of purse items. Examples......lipstick, 1981 penny, a pen, a visa credit card, one hundred dollar bill, a business card....anything you can think of. When you start the games, tell everyone to get their purse! Each player gets one point for every item (if they have three lipsticks they get three points. If they have two 1981 pennies, they get two points). The person with the most points wins the game. Everyone loved that game at my bridal shower!! 2. You can do a 'quiestions about the bride game". Make it 20 quiestions like, What is the brides natural hair color, how many tattoos does the bride have, where did the bride meet the groom, what's the brides favorite t.v. show, etc. THe person with the most correct answers wins. 3. Door prize game can be something easy like filling a jar with fake wedding rings, flowers, or even candy....the person who has the closest number wins. Or, you can play the close pin game. As guest arrive, give them a close pin to clip to their shirts. No one can say bride, groom, or wedding. If they do and someone else heard them, they take their close pin. Who ever has the most at the end of the party wins. Hope this helps! Good luck!
