Does anyone have any grocery shopping tips that will save money?

I would also like to know if anyone knows how to make grocery items last longer than a week. Any tips will be appreciated. Just trying to save money.

1. try cutting out coupons from the sunday paper
2. look for buy 1 get one free, also 3 for price of two, lots of supermarkets are doing this
