What is a reasonable or sane age to retire from professional football?
I'm not picking a grudge match with people who like football, or pro football. I dare to say there are as many injuries in pro basketball. I would hedge my bets on major league.

- all depends on injuries- I would retire in my early to mid 30's either way- mid 30's means you played 10+yrs and should have some money to pursue what you want to do
