Steve Waugh was the most prominent one who retired at the end of the Border Gavaskar trophy of 2003-2004 Another great cricketer who is bidding goodbye to cricket after this Border Gavaskar trophy of 2008 in Sourav Ganguly. Well, these are the ones that I can recall, apart from this shocking departure of Kumble. So, I guess Border Gavaskar series should be nicknamed as "Farewell Series". Cricket is losing many of its legends on the platform of this series
