I would like somebody to help me with my husband retirement letter for military?
he was active duty for 15 years( Army ) coming back from desert storm war he become a reservist, for over 5 years, he contact Mrs. Cooper in military offices, who assure he was complete and ready to retired. which he applied for, moths later he received a letter saying he can not get his 20 years letter, do to few missing hours in the reserves.Please if someone Know what we can do, please help us.

- As a reservist, to have a year count towards retirement, you have to earn a certain amount of retirement points. This is accomplished by performing such actions such as weekend drills, summer annual training, and military correspondence courses. Probably the quickest way to solve this problem is for him to attend a few weekend drills with a nearby reserve unit. Have him contact a nearby unit to find out more details. Helping out the recruiting office might be a good possibility.
- I do know that 5 years of reserves do not count as 5 years of active duty but not sure of what the ratio is. so I doubt he actually has 20 years in.
