  1. vote obama, he wants to make military service shorter!!
  2. 20 years
  3. Probably 20-25 years of service. You can do it through the reserves. Have Good Conduct Good idea, retiring, you get a check every month for about $1300
  4. With 20 years of service you retire at 50% pay of your highest three years and full benefits like medical. With 30 years you retire at 75%. If you have under 20 you can go into the reserves to finish off your 20 but you will not collect benefits until you are 60. It is the same for all services, not just Marines.
  5. 20 year minimum. screw obama, he knows nothing about the military. people who retire from the military are the people who love their country and enjoyed the life in the military.
  6. 20 years, though they're trying to make it 10
  7. the least is 20 but now new rule you can stay as long as your body lets you....no more pay cap...
  8. 20 years in Marines it also depends on what service too. Some services like the Navy ( very rarely for Navy ) and Army offer early retirement, because you can enlist at 42 in the Army and 34 in the Navy. VOTE OBAMA
