- Never.
- When she goes out to "get a pack of cigarettes" and never goes back home or....she finds a lot of "honeydos" for the old man to do.
- Don't think a housewife ever retires.... hmmm, this is a tough question indeed.... When a man and and woman get married and agree that he will work for money and support his wife and kids, and she will take care of his household, technically, the hubby's the wife's *employer* since money rules in our society.
- Welcome to my world!!!! Hubby retired three years ago and still can't seem to find something to do. I work full time. The dishes just pile up to the window sill, must be he's blind, too.
- If she outlives the old boy, she retires the moment the last mourner leaves the house after the funeral meal. If not, then she retires when she goes home to God.
- Haha, women who are housewives do not retire. Even after their children (if any exist) are grown and moved out, they still end up catering to their husbands. So unless the husband dies first, or divorce happens, housewives don't retire.
- You will have all the independence you want after he's dead. Women outlive men, you know. In the meantime, you now have him to nag full time. This is God's way of making men glad they die first. Cheery thought, isn't it?
- If a woman is a housewife she will never retire from that job as there is always work to do around the home. However, when the man retires from his work I feel he should assist her in what needs to be done around the home to lighten her load. In that way they both can enjoy his retirement together. Also, they are two independent people and need their own space so they should be considerate of each other and at times she goes out with her friends and he goes out with his.
- WHEN SHE DIES
- All men don't retire at 60. I am self employed and 70 and haven't retired. Household duties should be shared upon retirement.
- usually after about 4 years of marriage....
