What are some good birthday party ideas for 12-14 year olds?

My birthday isn't soon but I was wondering, what are some good ideas for birthday parties around ages 12-14? I'm out of ideas. Any people who have been to a birthday party or had a birthday party that they really liked it would be awesome if you could answer this. Thanks!

1. how bout a beach party like a bonfire..... (sucks if u don't live by a beach)
2. Twister never dies. I wish it had been invented when I was young enough to twist on a mat with a pretty girl.
3. hey how about a themed party? like anything they choose? and you could get it in a party room or i went to one and it was a place where you could eat and then you went into these room which is like a big playground how about that if you have one near where you live? and get party bags with things that represent the theme you have chosen. or hire someone to come and do something.
