Where can I find advice for retiring early and / or from the military?
Every retirement article I read assumes you'll retire at 62 or 65. Between my investments and pension, I plan on being retired by the time I'm 50. However, I can't find any articles or any advice that address the kind of situation I hope to have: Good pension, TSP (401k) account, civilian employment for 4-5 years following retirement from the military (from ages 46-50). Any ideas?

- What kind of advice are you looking for? It sounds like you have the financial part organized. Are you wondering what you will do with your time? Most retired military go on to work nearly another full career before retiring full-time; those are the key earning years and it keeps you from getting bored.
