Can I refuse social security retirement benefits?

There are some reasons i do not want to apply for them

2. Don't apply. Duh.
3. You don't have to file if you don't want to but it is your money. If you don't want it you don't have to have it. If you don't want it I'll take it for you. It's only supplemental income anyway.
4. you can refuse the retirement benefits, but you still have to PAY the ss taxes as long as you work.
5. Just don't apply for them, they don't hold a gun to your head. But if you want to qualify for some other social program you may find that you need to file for everything you qualify for before you will be considered for something else.
6. Don't apply
