Now that I longer have a desktop computer running 24/7, will I save money on electric bill every month?

I got a laptop recently and now I never use my desktop so I just turned it off. Prior to this, and like everyone else, I would just leave it on all the time. So, will I notice a huge difference in my electric bill, or not really?

  1. Not much, when they go into sleep mode they don't use much power, if you were running a piece of software that kept it operating at full capacity 24 hours a day then yes you would notice a little difference.
  2. It really depends on your computer and how it is running but yes, you should expect a drop. I don't know how much since it depends on the power consumption of your computer.
  3. if you look it up, it costs about seventy five bucks a year to run a desk top pc..... so you shouldn't notice a big diff on the bill....
