I need to SERVE a Civil Subpoena (Duces Tecum)?

I need to serve CalPERS with a Civil Subpoena (DUCES TECUM ) just for documents on how much my ex has and is receiving in his retirement. He hasn't paid or offered to pay child support for 8 months and is in arrears for perm spousal s. Looking at the forms it looks like you have to hand deliver. I would like to just send it certified mail. Is that acceptable? 1. For a Subpoena Duces Tecum, YOU cannot serve it as you are a party to the suit and have an interest in the outcome. You'll have to hire a prrivate process server to take care of it for you. If you'll contact me, I can get you a name/contact person for service. Good Luck
  2. I would have it served through the JDR clerk's office. There are often time frames involved and it could effect anything upcoming. Why isn't DCSE handling it?
